About the role

Del Sol Treehouse is a design-led, two-level stay located in Rosny, just outside Hobart.

We are looking for a reliable, trustworthy and detail-focused housekeeper to support guest turnovers and help maintain a consistent, high standard across the property.

This is a flexible subcontractor role suited to someone looking for ongoing, casual work or a supplementary income.

You will be working independently within a beautiful, well-designed environment, with clear systems and processes in place.

About the property

The home features:

  • Two levels with separate guest spaces

  • A king and queen bedroom, two bathrooms, a full kitchen and kitchenette

  • A wrap-around balcony with views across the Derwent and a whimsical garden

  • A strong focus on styling, presentation and a highly curated guest experience

What the role involves

The primary responsibility is preparing the property between guest stays to ensure it is clean, reset and ready for arrival.

This includes:

  • Turnover  of one or both levels, depending on bookings

  • Resetting beds, linen and soft furnishings

  • Linen management, including transport and laundering

  • Restocking basic provisions and amenities, and setting up VIP guest gifts

  • Managing stock levels and flagging when items need to be reordered

  • Light styling and presentation of the space

  • Identifying and reporting any damage or maintenance issues

  • Acting as the “eyes and ears” of the property

  • Occasional additional tasks as required, such as deep cleans, provision collection or emergency call outs

Work schedule and requirements

  • Approximately 15 turnovers per month

  • Usually spaced every 2 to 3 days, with some back-to-back days

  • Turnovers range from approximately 90 minutes to 3 hours, depending on the scope

  • Turnovers are time-sensitive and must be completed before guest arrival

Requirements:

  • ABN (subcontractor arrangement)

  • Reliable transport

  • Access to laundry facilities, including a dryer (home or laundromat)

  • Availability between 11am and 3pm on turnover days

  • Some weekend and public holiday availability required

What we’re looking for

You do not need formal experience, but you do need the right mindset.

This role suits someone who enjoys working independently and takes pride in doing a job properly.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is reliable and able to follow through on scheduled work with minimal oversight

  • Has a strong attention to detail and notices when something is not quite right

  • Takes ownership of the space and the finished result

  • Understands the importance of guest experience and consistency of every turnover

  • Is proactive, organised and solution-focused

  • Is comfortable working independently and following established systems

  • Can manage their time effectively and work within set timeframes

  • Can prioritise tasks and work efficiently under time pressure

  • Communicates clearly and flags issues early

Consistency and attention to detail are essential to the success of this role.

Physical requirements

The role includes stairs, lifting and general movement throughout the space during turnovers. A reasonable level of fitness is required to comfortably manage the work.

Additional information

  • All cleaning products and supplies are provided on site

  • Structured systems and processes are in place for scheduling and stock management

  • Full training, including styling and bedmaking, will be provided
