Slip into this woody and whimsical sunlit dream with elevated water views, thoughtfully designed for the wild at heart.

Del Sol Treehouse is a naturalist’s retreat, a storybook haven for free spirits with a love of plants and a curiosity for the quiet wild. Surrounded by lush gardens and standing sentinel over the Derwent River, this masterfully built two-level escape invites you to slow down and reconnect. Nature and imagination intertwine in this eclectic abode for four, just minutes from Tasmania’s capital.

Only a 10 minute drive from the city or a scenic 20 minute stroll to the ferry terminal, Del Sol feels like a secret world. Tucked into a relaxing elevated setting, it offers the perfect balance of seclusion and easy access to all Southern Tasmania has to offer.

Inside, Del Sol unfolds across two distinctive suites, each exuding their own unique allure, character and charm. The upper level, The Canopy, features sweeping river views, a wraparound balcony, a linen-draped queen bed, a full kitchen, and a sunlit bathroom.

Below, the Seahorse Studio is a cosy garden-level retreat with its own private entrance, a lush king bed, and an oversized bathtub for slow soaks.

From heated tiles to vintage treasures and curated curios, every corner of Del Sol has been designed to delight. Whispers of the elusive naturalist botanist rumoured to have once lived here echo through its carefully crafted spaces, inviting guests to wander, to wonder, and take time to sink into its magical world.

Step outside and discover spaces made for lingering. Sway in the hammock on the balcony, sip wine under the festoon lights, wander the garden paths to nearby bushwalks or settle at the high bar to stargaze as the southern sky shimmers overhead.

More than a place to stay, Del Sol Treehouse is a slow retreat for the senses. A place to breathe deeply, listen closely to nature and rediscover the joy in life’s simple pleasures.

Location

Del Sol Treehouse is just 20 minutes from Hobart Airport and less than 10 minutes by car to the city centre. The Derwent Ferry terminal is a 20 minute walk away and links directly to the MONA ferry and the historic waterfront, including Salamanca Market. It is an ideal base for exploring the best of Southern Tasmania.

The suburb of Rosny is a peaceful residential pocket that blends natural beauty with modern convenience. Sweeping views of the Derwent River and Tasmania’s classic landscape set the tone for a quiet, elevated stay.

Wander through the nearby bushland of Rosny Reserve, where lookouts reveal panoramic views of the Tasman Bridge, kunanyi/Mt Wellington and the Hobart skyline. Scenic walking trails and the beaches of Bellerive are close by and offer a refreshing way to enjoy the outdoors when the weather is fine.

Shops, cafes and dining options, including Eastlands Shopping Centre, are a 15 minute walk from the treehouse, or along Kangaroo Bay. Rosny connects easily to Hobart’s major highlights with multiple Metro bus stops nearby, making it simple to explore all Hobart has to offer.

Eve

We were absolutely amazed and delighted with this charming little treehouse. Beautiful views and beautiful interior, this was everything we could have asked for and more. Every little detail had been thought out, from the kitchen amenities to the tennis equipment left out for use at the local courts. Jizelle was extremely helpful and clear, lending us local tips and being super responsive. I could not rate this place more highly and am very grateful to have found this spot.
